Really enjoyed our visit here. The children had a great time in the playground, we could enjoy a very nice lunch and drinks without worrying about keeping the kids safe and occupied. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. Food was very good. Will come back next time we’re in the area!

4 of us for a quick catch up lunch. First time here in a long time. Nice big pub with a good sized carpark which is something I value. Food was good and very reasonably priced, great value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a monday lunchtime and we seemed to be the only customers which was a shame as it lacked the hub bub of a busy pub so the atmosphere wasnt there. I hope this pub is better patronised at other times (I'm sure it is) and remains a village pub for many years to come.

My friend and myself had the “Lunch Club Meal” which is served on a Friday to encourage people in to meet each other, have a natter, read a book or do nothing, without any pressure to leave once finished. Our menu was a main, cake and tea/coffee, all for the amazing price of 12 each!!! I had the hunters chicken that came with peas, chips & side salad and my friend had the cod balls with chips, peas and side salad. We were told they were “small” portions, but they were much more than the normal child size. Excellent food and very friendly staff. We will be returning to try out their afternoon teas 10/10

Really enjoyed returning to the Hunters after a decade or more for a big family get together. Simple pub grub served well by really good people who were never rushing us along, an excellent choice of drinks, Broadside, Guiness and Cocktails all went down a treat, huge carpark and playground. A pub worth saving and long may it continue

I am very sorry to hear that Barry is leaving Hunters? He has been working really hard to make it work and under is guidance, things were slowly turning around. But obviously other forces were involved and he has decided that May 18th will be his last day in charge. It's a shame, because he is an experienced publican and they are very hard to come by. I wish him and his wife well in their new endeavours. Let's hope that the new publican has the same success at The Hunters?

A little quiet as it was a Tuesday lunchtime, but nevertheless we had a lovely time. We ordered a Steak and Stilton pie with four options of vege / gravy all for one price and also ordered off the special board an amazing Brie and marmalade quiche that came with a good sized salad. All the food was great quality and good portions. Excellent service and food. We’ll definitely go back for more.
